Fortaleza and Jericuacuara:

Walking straight out the door, across a busy street and down a small side street takes us to this port: empty during the day as you can see but very busy at night with street vendors and tourists.

Our second day trip was to praia do Combuco.(first was to Brazil's biggest water park which claims to have the tallest water slide in the world at 41 meters- definitely a thrilling ride!)

We took a buggy ride into the doons.  We chose the "with emotion" ride which Priscila regretted about 3 seconds into the ride.

After that trip, we spent the rest of the day on the beach...somebody needed a beer.

On day three, we started the journey to Jeri.  After a calm 3 hour bus ride the remaining 2 hours would be through jungle, doons, and beach:

This beach was completely deserted aside from a herd of cattle strolling down the beach...

2 days in Jeri:

Heading up to the top of the doon....

After returning from another trip by buggy, we started the 2km walk to "pedra furada" (punctured rock) :
